摘要
Multi-user augmented reality systems are especially dependent on precise registration. In this paper, we present a hybrid tracking system that combines optical and magnetic tracking. The magnetic tracking is used to give a robust estimate of position and orientation which then can be refined in realtime by optical tracking. The system is more precise than a magnetic tracker and both faster and more reliable than an optical tracker. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
