Picosecond soliton pulse-duration-selectable source based on adiabatic compression in Raman amplifier

摘要
Raman amplified 10ps soliton pulses generated directly from art electroabsorption modulator based source have been adiabatically compressed in a Raman fibre amplifier, giving pulse duration tunable sources of 10 - 1ps at 10GHz and average powers up to 650mW, dependent on the magnitude of the amplification.
