Hydrogen electrosorption in Pd-Pt alloys

摘要
Hydrogen electrosorption has been investigated in limited volume (LV) Pd-Pt alloy electrodes. The amount of absorbed hydrogen decreases with increasing Pt content in the bulk of the alloy, but does not change with the Pt content oil the alloy surface. A change in the rate of the hydrogen absorption reaction occurs at a potential close to the reversible hydrogen potential. This effect can probably be related to the existence of the overpotentially adsorbed hydrogen on the surface of the electrode. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
