Chemistry of the lanthanides using pyrazolylborate ligands

摘要
The isolation of well-defined molecular species often requires the use of sterically demanding ligands. As such, the pyrazolylborate ligands represent an attractive and versatile alternative. The facile manipulation of the 3- and 5-substituents of the pyrazolyl rings allows the fine-tuning of the ligand size and thereby implies the possibility of controlling the metal coordination sphere to an unprecedented degree. This paper updates the previous comprehensive review which covered both lanthanide and actinide chemistry.
