On the spin fluctuation-enhanced specific heat around the magnetic instabilities

摘要：

It is pointed out that the conventional expression for the spin fluctuation-enhanced specific heat around the magnetic instabilities should be modified. The proposed expression suppresses the unreasonably singular terms arising from the temperature dependence of the zero-point spin fluctuations in the conventional expression. The resulting quantum critical behaviors are just the same as the previous results obtained by neglecting the contribution of the zero-point fluctuations in the conventional expression.
