摘要
We reiterate the key points of a previous paper that showed that neighbor-joining analysis of AFLP datasets can produce erroneous results. The critical question, whether the datasets used to infer the origins of einkorn, barley, and the hulled and hard tetraploid wheats display sufficient linkage to avoid the artifacts that we observed, is not adequately answered by Salamini et al.
