摘要
To evaluate the accuracy of the shear strength reduction technique in determining slope stability, the factors of safety obtained with this technique were compared to those obtained using limit analysis solutions for a homogeneous embankment. Analyses were performed for a wide range of slope angles, soil friction angles and pore pressure coefficients. Results obtained from the strength reduction technique were in close agreement with those of predicted by limit analysis.
