Financial considerations of exploiting fuel cell technology

Fuel cell technology is really close to commercial status, thus, economic and financial issues must be dealt with. While it is always possible to formulate the problem of slow fuel cell or other technology development in terms of financial analysis, it is important to go beyond the numbers to the wider forces affecting the financial and economic analysis. Recent changes, especially the liberalization in the power industry, technological change favoring smaller unit sizes, and a set of emerging business alliances that should help fuel cells, collectively mean that these institutional barriers to fuel cell commercialization have lost much of their force.
