A Review on Face Recognition Based on Compressive Sensing

This paper gives a review on the methods based on compressive sensing (CS) for face recognition. These methods are divided into the following four categories: Sparse representation classification (SRC), the method using the sparsity idea in CS theory, the combination of kernel trick and SRC, and the method based on sparse preserving techniques. Their procedures are firstly in description in theory, and then the simulation results are summarized and analyzed to obtain the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. -Finally, the further research topics are in discussion.
