Selective nitrate poly(vinylchloride) membrane electrode based on bis(2-hydroxyacetophenone)ethylenediimine vanadyl(IV)

摘要
The construction, performance, and applications of nitrate-selective electrode based on complex of bis(2-hydroxyacetophenone)ethylenediimine vanadyl (IV) as carrier, in plasticized poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) matrix are described. The electrode exhibited linear response with Nernstian slope of -58.5 +/- 1.0 mV per decade within the concentration range 5.0 x 10(-6) to 1.0 M nitrate ion. The limit of detection as determined from the intersection of the extrapolated linear segments of the calibration graph, was 1.0 x 10(-6) M. The response time of electrode was < 25 s over the entire concentration range. This electrode could be used for at least 3 months without a considerable divergence in their potential. The electrode exhibited good selectivities for nitrate respect other anions. The electrode is suitable for use in real samples. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
