Effect of interlamellar spacing on cementite dissolution during wire drawing of pearlitic steel wires

摘要
Using Mossbauer spectroscopy, the effect of microstructural features such as interlamellar spacing and colony size on the cementite dissolution during wire drawing is examined for fully pearlitic eutectoid steels. The main observation is that, interlamellar spacing has a significant effect on cementite dissolution and tensile strength of drawn wires, whereas the influence of pearlite colony size is negligible.
