摘要
F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) has been effective for imaging tumor and inflammatory lesions. Psoas abscess is rare and has a vague clinical presentation. The authors describe a 16-year-old boy who had Ga-67 scan findings typical of bilateral iliopsoas abscesses resulting from tuberculosis. The FDG-PET findings were similar to those of Ga-67 scans and the diagnosis was confirmed by pelvic computed tomography.
