摘要
The effects of temperature, pressure and reaction time on the monomer recovery were investigated to determine the proper conditions for the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) monomers with supercritical methanol. The PET was decomposed completely at 300 °C and the yields of the DMT and EG monomers increased to about 70% and 16% as the reaction temperature increased to 330 °C. The best pressure at 330 °C was 8.1 MPa, which was the lowest pressure condition. When the reaction time was increased, the yield of each product hardly changed, while the gaseous product increased.
