摘要
The recent development of bulk nanostructured materials by severe plastic deformation (SPD) has depended upon the concurrent evolution of new characterization techniques, new material-forming methods, and increasingly sophisticated models for interpreting measured properties. This report provides an overview of some of these developments. The foundations of these developments lie in parallel advancement in several areas during the past century.
