摘要
How should area studies librarians respond to the increasing emphasis on inter-area and cross-disciplinary scholarship? Adjustments can be made in such area-focused endeavors as the segregated shelving of a non-Roman script collection, in the book budget allocations that may be aligned to the geographic segmentation embedded in the Library of Congress classification scheme, and in area studies staff perspectives and service postures.
