摘要
As resolution demands increase in television and data projection, the industry will ultimately look to liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) for high performance and low cost. Noteworthy differences between LCoS and polysilicon LCD panels are that they operate in reflection and are physically small. These factors have had a profound impact on system design; particularly color management, creating a demand for new components to support novel configurations. Retarder stack filters provide a function that is well matched to the needs of reflective panels, enabling the high performance and compactness of these new architectures.
