The field of heteropolyacids chemistry is expanding rapidly. In the past two years a number of new acid and oxidation catalysts have been developed. In addition, heteropolyacids having new types of structures have been synthesized. These include micro/mesoporous heteropoly materials and heteropolyanions with oxo-bridged multiple centers. The progress in catalytic chemistry and synthetic inorganic chemistry of heteropolyacids creates opportunities to design new catalytic systems.
