摘要
P>Maximum length reached by fishes is an important parameter that is highly correlated with metabolism and most other life-history traits. However, obtaining maximum length estimates for commercial fishes has become difficult due to the extirpation of large specimens by intensive fishing. Empirical equations are presented that can be used to derive maximum length of fish from length at first maturity, and vice versa.
