摘要
A fission track thermochronological study of the Argentera external crystalline massif (western Alps) reveals tectonic blocks with differential vertical motions. The northwest area cooled down about 300 degrees C from the Upper Cretaceous and the remaining of the massif crossed the 250 C isotherm in the 29-20 Ma rime interval, after the internal nappe overthrust. Moreover the massif cooled below 120 degrees C more than 12.5 Ma ago and its denudation rate increased locally 6 Ma ago and more generally since 3.5 Ma in relation with the reverse motion along the Bersezio Fault.
