摘要
R2BaCoO5 oxides (R = rare earth) have been studied by means of neutron powder diffraction. They present two structural types which belong to the orthorhombic space groups Immm and Pnma. Antiferromagnetic ordering of the R3+ and Co2+ sublattices takes place below T-N < 100 K. Different noncollinear spin arrangements and complex phase transitions from incommensurate to commensurate magnetic structures have been characterized. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
