摘要：

Parametric decay of an obliquely (to the magnetic field) propagating electron plasma wave to an obliquely propagating electron plasma sideband and a lower hybrid wave is studied. This decay process is then considered as a cascade channel for electron plasma waves to broaden their downshifted frequency spectra. The dependence of the threshold pump field on the number of cascade is determined. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
