摘要
A simple approach to conjugate monodisperse Fe 3O 4 nanoparticles with various poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)-based hydrophillic macromolecules through a readily available linker trichloro-s-triazine (TsT) was investigated. Fe 3O 4 nanoparticles have been tested vigorously for various biomedical applications because of their chemical stability and low toxicity. The monodisperse Fe 3O 4 nanoparticles were prepared by one-pot high temperature reductive decomposition of Fe(acac) 3 in oleylamine and benzyl ether. To functionalize the Fe 3O 4 nanoparticles with mPEG TsT was first used to react with mPEG 2000 at room temperature in anhydrous benzene. It was observed that TsT can be used as an easy linker to couple magnetic Fe 3O 4 nanoparticles with hydrophilic mPEG and TsT-based linking strategy can be extended to the coupling of various hydrophilic macromolecules.
