Tangling effect in fibrillated cellulose reinforced nanocomposites

摘要
The tangling effect in the cellulose microfibrils, reinforced by nanostructured materials were investigated. The mechanical properties could be adjusted by varying the strength of acid hydrolysis step. The nanocomposites were processed from cellulose microfibrils aqueous suspensions, using aqueous suspension of latex. It was concluded that the entanglements between flexible microfibrils played significant role in the mechanical behavior of nanocomposits, in the nonlinear range.
