Chemical constituents from Pinus strobus var chiapensis

After chromatographic fractionation and recrystallization the hexanic extract of the wood of P. strobus var. chiapensis (Martinez) afforded sitosterol; a lignan, lariciresinol; five flavonoids: 5-hidroxy-7-methoxyflavanone(pinostrobin), 6-methylpinostrobin, 5-hidroxy-7-methoxyflavone(tectochrysin), 6-methyltectochrysin and 5,7-dihidroxy-6-methylflavone (strobopinin); four stilbenes: 3-methoxy-5-hidroxystibene (pinosylvin-monomethylether), 3-methoxy-5-hidroxy-7,8-dihydrostilbene(dihydropinosylvin-monomethylether), 3,5-dimethoxy-7,8-dihydrostilbene(dihydropinosylvin-dimethylether), and 3,5-dimethoxystilbene (pinosylvin-dimethylether), and three diterpenes: isopimaric acid, dehydroabietic acid, and copalic acid.
