Magnetic phase transitions and magnetic structures of In2Cu2O5 and Sc2Cu2O5

摘要
Magnetic properties of In2Cu2O5 and Sc2Cu2O5 that crystallize in the Pna2(1) space group were studied by means of high resolution Fourier transform spectroscopy of the rare earth probe. Magnetic ordering of In2Cu2O5 at 29 +/- 1 K and of Sc2Cu2O5 at 16 +/- 1 K has been confirmed by this method. The most probable magnetic structure in an ordered state of In2Cu2O5 is suggested to be the same as in R(2)Cu(2)O(5) with R = Y, Lu, Er, Tb, namely, ferromagnetically ordered CuO ab layers coupled antiferromagnetically; copper magnetic moments aligned along the crystal axis b.
