c-axis penetration depth in single crystal La2-xSrxCuO4

摘要
We have used a scanning SQUID microscope to image vortices emerging parallel to the planes in the high-T-c cuprate superconductor La2-xSrxCuO4. These images provide a value for the c-axis penetration depth, lambda(c) similar to 5 mu m, which is in reasonable agreement with previous measurements using optical techniques.
