摘要
Two formulations of multiple scattering of SH waves are presented. The first is a formulation of a general two-dimensional multiple scatterer problem. This formulation is analytically exact and can be used to analyze wave scattering among arbitrary numbers of similar or dissimilar scatterers. The second is a methodology, called scatterer polymerization, that can be used for reducing an assemblage of actual scatterers to a lesser number of abstract scatterers, which can later be either further polymerized or used directly in the multiple-scattering analysis. These two formulations in combination can utilize computer memory more efficiently in deterministic analyses of large-scale multiple scattering problems. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
