Preparation of C/C composite using mesocarbon microbeads as matrix

摘要
Much effort needs to be taken to develop new methods to simplify the processing and shorten the time of preparing C/C composite. As such, C/C composites with density of 1670 kg/m3 and bending strength of 79 MPa were obtained by one-step self-sintering method using Mesocarbon Microbead (MCMB) as matrix. It was indicated that high performance C/C composites can be prepared through adequate oxidation treatment of carbon fiber and MCMB.
