摘要
A polarisation-independent wavelength converter using cascaded nonlinearities in periodically-poled LiNbO3 waveguides has been developed. The device uses a pump in the 1.5 mu m band, has negligible polarisation sensitivity and a penalty of < 0.5dB at 10Gbit/s.
