In the last one and a half decades the use of botulinum toxin has revolutionized facial rejuvenation. This article reviews the different types of botulinum toxin, their common mode of action, and the latest injection techniques used by dermatologists for facial rejuvenation. The use of botulinum toxin will continue to evolve and will be commonplace after it is approved for glabellar lines.
