Note on the standard enthalpies of formation of LuNi5, Lu3Pd4 and LuPd, determined by high temperature direct synthesis calorimetry

摘要
The standard enthalpies of formation of LuNi5, Lu3Pd4 and LuPd have been determined by high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry at 1477+/-2 K. The following values of Delta H-f(0), in kJ (mole atom)(-1), are reported: LuNi5, -30.0+/-0.8; Lu3Pd4, -98.4+/-2.2; and LuPd, -95.0+/-1.4. The results are compared with predicted values from the Miedema model and with a previous Value reported by Selhaoui and Kleppa for LuPd. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
