Modeling of the thermopower of electron-doped manganites

摘要
The temperature dependence of the thermopower of electron-doped manganites is analyzed in terms of a microscopic Hamiltonian. We show that the experimental data can be understood for a series of materials over a broad temperature range using two parameters, namely the effective bandwidth for the quasiparticles, and the high temperature limit of the appropriate correlation function. These parameters are material-specific, and vary modestly over the series of considered materials. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
