The peroxy radical ammonia complex. A matrix isolation study

摘要
The infrared spectrum of the peroxy radical ammonia complex in argon matrices has been measured between 200 and 4000 cm(-1) for several ammonia and peroxy radical isotopomers. The shifts of the intramolecular fundamentals indicate that the peroxy radical forms a strong hydrogen bond to the lone pair of the ammonia nitrogen. The H- to D-shift of the OH stretch of the complexed peroxy radical indicates a significant weakening of the OH bond. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All lights reserved.
