摘要
Despite considerable observational data suggesting that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) would prevent cardiovascular events, the Heart and Estrogen/Progestin Replacement Study found no significant benefit for combined HRT in women with coronary heart disease. Potential explanations for the neutral effect of HRT are explored using insights from recent investigations.
