Codoped rutile TiO2 as a new photocatalyst for visible light irradiation

摘要
(S, La2O3)-codoped rutile TiO2 was synthesized by in situ hydrothermal method. The (S, La2O3)-codoped rutile TiO2 treated at 200degreesC exhibited the highest photocatalytic activities for degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The synergistic effects of S and a small quantity of La2O3 made the degradation rate of MB as high as 98.4%.
