摘要
Pattern formation associated with ionic currents often occurs in biomembranes. The symmetry breaking is interpreted as resulting from an instability driven by the membrane protein segregation. The velocity of a membrane protein under electric field is determined. Two instability mechanisms are sketched in a flat geometry. Critical parameters are determined and compared with experimental data.
