Bridged aminotroponiminate complexes of gallium and indium

摘要
The reaction of the salt dipotassium 1,3-di[2-(isopropylamino)troponiminate]propane, K-2[(Pr-i)TP], with MCl3 (M = Ga, In) leads to complexes of composition [{(Pr-i)TP}MCl] [M = Ga (1), In (2)]. The co-ordination polyhedron of 2 is best described in terms of a distorted chiral tetragonal pyramid in which the chlorine atom occupies the apex. The two seven-membered rings of the [(Pr-i)TP](2-) ligand in 2 are twisted by about 19.9 degrees with respect to each other. To study the reactivity of 2, the derivatives [{(Pr-i)TP}InMe], [{(Pr-i)TP}InCH2SiMe3], and [{(Pr-i)TP}(InOBu)-Bu-t] were synthesised.
