摘要
Exciton energies and transfer matrix-elements for the nanostar (a perylene chromophore attached to a polyphenylacetylene dendrimer) are obtained by computing the linear absorption of several segments using the collective electronic oscillator (CEO) approach. Our results allow a first-principles calculation of an effective Frenkel exciton Hamiltonian which can describe the optical properties as well as energy transfer and funneling in this artificial antenna complex.
