摘要
Detailed analyses of plastic instabilities in cubic Y2O3-ZrO2 single crystals with high yttria content (greater than or equal to 21 mol%) have been carried out by uniaxial compression tests between 1310 and 1450 degreesC. The experimental results and their comparison with standard models show that these instabilities are caused by a Portevin-Le Chatelier effect.
