摘要
We investigate intrabeam scattering in strongly coupled beams of charged particles passing through quadrupole channels and deflection magnets. Particular attention is paid to the problem, which longitudinal cooling is necessary to overcome the shearing forces in the bending magnets which oppose the formation of ordered particle beams in storage rings.
