摘要
In this work, the fundamentals of the constructive theory of orthogonal polynomials and their applications are reviewed. The review provides a basis for a subsequent discussion of transport-theory applications of nonclassical orthogonal polynomials that includes solutions to azimuthally-dependent transport problems, chemical kinetics problems, Fokker-Planck equations with nonlinear coefficients, and the problem of neutral particle transport in ducts.
