摘要
The Gram-negative type III secretion pathway translocates bacterial proteins directly into eukaryotic host cells, thus allowing a pathogen to interfere directly with host signalling pathways. Protein and inositol phosphatases and protein kinases have been identified as delivered effecters in three bacterial pathogens, Salmonella, Shigella and Yersinia, and it is expected that several more such type III effecters will be found.
