摘要
To understand the influence of the ligand on crystal growth, two new polycarboxylate ligands, 2-(carboxyphenyl)iminoacetic propanoic acid (H(3)cpiap) and 2-(carboxyphenyl)iminodipropanoic acid (H(3)cpidp), have been synthesized. The reaction of each with Cu(NO3)(2) center dot 3H(2)O under similar reaction conditions yields two 1D coordination polymers {[Cu-3(cpiap)(2)(H2O)(3)](mu-H2O)}(n) center dot 7nH(2)O (1) and [Cu(H(2)cpidp)(2)(H2O)(2)](n) center dot 4nH(2)O (2), respectively. A T5(2) 1D water tape constructed from an edge-sharing cyclic pentamer has been observed in compound 1, in which the water chains interact with the 1D coordination polymer chains to form a 3D supramolecular binodal (5,8)-network through hydrogen-bonding interactions.
