摘要
A wide range of energy supplies have been developed for medical implants. Electromagnetic induction and primary batteries are well known as energy sources for implanted sensors and actuators. An alternative to these methods is a new wireless energy source that employs a near-infrared laser with a photovoltaic cell. The system can also be used with a rechargeable battery. The energy transfer efficiency and performance during some basic experiments are described.
