摘要：

Given that QRS duration is used to determine which patients may benefit from cardiac resynchronization therapy, we analyzed the heart failure database at the University of Florida to determine the presence and extent of QRS duration variability in patients with heart failure. Our data showed that patients with heart failure have significantly greater variability in QRS duration on the 12-lead electrocardiogram than patients without heart failure, thus implying that 1 electrocardiogram may not always be enough to determine whether a patient may benefit from cardiac resynchronization therapy.
