Ordered mesoporous carbon hollow spheres nanocast using mesoporous silica via chemical vapor deposition

The mesoporous carbon-containing hollow spheres was analyzed using mesoporous silica as a template via chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Investigations show that the hollow carbon spheres were formed at 950° of pyrolysis temperature. The hollow spheres of mesoporous carbon were nanocasted by using conventional mesoporous silica particles. The results show new opportunities for nanocasting hollow spheres of well-ordered mesostructured carbons.
