Spin polarization in fractional quantum Hall edge channels

摘要
The derivative Hall resistance in quantum Hall systems shows a hysteretic nonlinearity in the presence of the unequal population between fractional quantum Hall edge channels. The hysteresis is ascribed to spin-dependent enhancement, suppression of the inter-edge-channel scattering. which we suggest to originate from the hyperfine interaction between electron spins and nuclear spins.
