Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD) have a number of points of overlap: in symptoms, in personality dimensions that underlie their phenomenology, in community prevalence, in risk factors, and in outcome and response to treatment, Both disorders have a common base in impulsive personality traits, but the behavioral differences between them are shaped by gender.
