摘要
Removal of NOx from simulated flue gases has been investigated using a retro-fit type electrode suitable for the generation of a methane radical shower by replacing corona wires in electrostatic precipitators. The effects of methane radical injection on the NOx removal rate, energy efficiency and by-products were studied. The results showed that the removal of NOx increased with increasing activation voltage. The energy efficiency of NOx removal was 1-6g[NOx]/kWh for the case of methane radical injection. Furthermore, it was found that CO2 in combustion flue gases caused a decrease in energy deposition into the flue gas, resulting in lower NO removal efficiency. Trace amounts of N2O were observed as discharge by-products.
