摘要
Creep experiments were performed on Pd41Ni10Cu29P20 bulk metallic glass at stresses between 30 and 636 MPa at a temperature of 550 K. Phenomenological activation parameters were determined. The creep curves were calculated by a model based on deformation-induced free volume. At low stresses, the defect concentration remained approximately constant. At higher stresses, a continuous increase of the strain rate was observed as a result of a rapid increase in free volume. The deformation remains homogeneous up to strain rates of about 10(-3) s(-1).
